Just when you thought you will never see her do a comeback, what happens? She comes back! Clean an drug free, Lindsay Lohan is working hard to rise again. We wrote about Lindsay Lohan before and we also did say she either rebounds in the right direction or ends up going all the way down. For the better part, Lindsay Lohan is very talented, say what you want about her, but she does have acting skills and singing skills as well. Now we know she is no Celine Dion but she can hold her own. This new path Lindsay Lohan is on seems to be one of serious mending of broken fences and its good she is doing that. We have said many times that the importance is not in the fall but how you rise again and rise above your daemons. No one is perfect and we at Talents For Asia understand that, what makes us so happy in seeing Lindsay Lohan rise above it is the simple fact that if she does keep her nose clean, that she can be the catalyst of change to all those who have gone down her road. Lindsay Lohan can really be someone you looked up to because she did make a conscious effort to change her life and turn things around.

It is hoped throughout the entertainment industry that this rise will not be short lived and that Lindsay Lohan will bounce back and regain her place amongst the stars where she belongs. We at Talents For Asia believe that Lindsay Lohan’s fall from grace was not due to her stupidity but due to her surroundings of enablers and pressure to be included. Enablers who hang out with Celebrities and continue feeding these few Celebrities drugs should be made to pay a price just as high as any drug dealer. Why? Simply because they could have stopped it but failed to do so because they were riding high on the tail coat of their Celebrity friend enjoying the popularity buzz and the lifestyle that is so often associated with Celebrities in America and the United Kingdom and Globally in general. You can actually  analyze Lindsay Lohan’s downfall and you will find that her friends were more than happy to stay on the party train rather than say, it’s gone too far and it’s time to pull the breaks and get off. If all of Lindsay Lohan’s friends had stepped away at the same time and the press stopped covering her, she would have been forced to re think her actions and her rise would have begun sooner. Maybe society in general is becoming more crude and we do seek out scandals and what not as entertainment.

There was a time when a Celebrity artiste had to have dignity, integrity and morality as a key stature to becoming the sweethearts of the world, however the here and now shows that humanity has evolved and we now seek sex scandals and pictures of Celebrities snorting illegal drugs. We at Talents For Asia reject the idea that a women need bare all to sell their music. Talent is not measured on the size of your breast or on the roundness of your ass. Employers need to stop degrading women in music and sexually objectifying them. If you’re an employer, would you allow your sister or wife and or girlfriend to do that just for money? Please remember every woman is someone’s child, sister, wife and or girlfriend and when you degrade them you are actually disrespecting their family and spouses. Yes! clubs need to make money to stay open, yes you need the women to be attractive but there is a line you should not cross. There are many fashion styles that you can use to bring out the sexy in a female musician and you don’t need them to be in their two piece bikini type suits. If you have any self respect for your mother, wife and sister then we would hope you will also accord the same respect to female singers or musicians you hire to work in your entertainment venues. If you as women want to be half naked or naked on stage then we suggest you stop singing and make your way to America where they have many strip clubs and you can earn money dancing there without tarnishing the image of the music industry.

Why are we so harsh? Well because the music industry is always been attacked for negativity from drugs to alcohol abuse to sex scandals. It’s time you understand that you don’t have to be naked to be sexually attractive and you can dress properly and still look as beautiful as you are. The focus should be on your ability to perform without music stands in front of you, your focus should be on how to capture and hold your audience’s attention with your vocal capability and onstage persona without selling your pride and dignity. Club owners need to start looking at the quality of performance and not the quality of female members of the band for hire they want. In the recent days, so much conversation about regulating the Filipino bands for hire market by Filipino players of the market them self’s has taken place. Some talks of even raising the issue to an NGO (Non Governmental Organization) has also been brought forward. However  very few will realize that this segment of the Philippines Job Market is actually very small compared to their overseas general labor force, therefore hopes for regulation will fail and be blown away because the segment is too small for government to invest in, as it is there is already so much red tape for Filipino’s to leave the country and it is because the government is trying to protect their own people and save them from human trafficking syndicates. The problem is the current mountain of red tape in employing a Filipino is already tiresome for the employer and costly, if you further regulate and over regulated labor market, you will drive away potential employers.

What needs to be done is for promoter and agents to Stand Up And Self Regulate Filipino Bands For Hire by creating a minimum wage to set the standards firstly. Globally more than 80 of the world’s population listens to music, all types of music from different genres, so why is it that so many have the view that the music business is a place where you can fail more then you can succeed. Why is it that so many also look down on people who work in the music industry? Yet this very same people who go home and listen to their favorite artiste or dj do it so freely. Many parents have the same view that music will get you nowhere, now if this is true then why do the parents listen to music from the carpenters or any music for that matter? Should you who denounce an industry which entertains you be given the rich privilege of listening to the works of the music industry players? We think NOT, please climb back up whatever tree you live on if you can’t show respect to player in the music industry.

There are even a select group of kids who spend so much money on music but yet when one of their friends chooses a music career, they attack their friend instead of lending support and showing their love for their friend, Talents For Asia has seen this happen and we must say that people like this are entitled to their own opinion but if they are going to insult the music industry then they them self’s should not be allowed to even listen to music and or watch any programs with music in it. Why so harsh? Because every piece of music created is from hard work facilitated from the artiste them self’s to the producers, sound engineers and right up to the record label. Its not easy to produce a single song what more 12 or 13 songs for an album, why do you think celebrity musicians for hire don’t travel during the recording period. Many hours are spent on a single song. So you have to give props where props are due not just sit in silence and enjoy the music when you want then turn around and talk down to players of the industry.

There are drugs and bad elements in the industry but the choice to stay away from such elements are based on the responsibility of the individual and if you have raised you child well, then what is there to worry about? People always fear what they don’t understand and they try to shut it out without trying to understand because of their fear of failure before even allowing their child to try. Some even provide the illusion of support with greater hopes that their child fails and goes back to the path of the parent’s choice. Just a few months ago we were a struggling band in a city where we cannot even get a regular gig. Most of us had side projects and gigs on the side to earn while some have day jobs. We were on the brink of breaking up before this booking came along. And we would like to thank Tf Asia for saving this band.

6 months into this booking reality has now struck. People will never really understand the importance of what they have until it is taken away from them. Desperation takes away our pride but too much of everything bloats our egos too much that we believe we are kings and queens of the world. A freshman thinks he knows better than the veterans. Another one is stuck in his world where there is only himself and his girlfriend. These people are blessed; so much in fact, they just don’t know that they are. So many musicians, including myself, have been to a lot of bookings where there is no assurance, there are always risks and there are debts to pay before you even got your first salary. These 2 first timers never got to experience that. Now they believe they are better than most of us who have been “there”. Now they have what they want, new equipments, new gadgets, money to spend, and now they even believe they are untouchables. They don’t clean up their own mess, they don’t do the chores unless told to do so, they decide what they want for their own, something I never did when I first started out in this job. Wow, times have really changed, like the climate.

Now it’s endless petty bickering and much ado about nothing. Every little issue becomes a big problem because everyone thinks that someone is always better than the other. When you are already earning, though it’s still not even enough, you start believing you will set for a long time which is not even true. In the past week, I have seen my group backbiting and pointing out each other’s fault, me included. The disputes are miserably miniscule and amazingly stupid sometimes. It’s really amazing to see how mature people become so childish sometimes, it’s really amusing. I have heard of comments like, we can form another group, or take him out of the group, or I don’t want to contribute anymore, etc. etc. etc. The internal strife is destroying the group slowly but surely.

Two days ago, we at Talents For Asia posted an article which denounced the employment of Filipino singers and musicians for hire at 400 USD per month (CLICK ME TO READ ARTICLE). The poster of the article since being confronted defended his stance by saying he was not looking for singers but GRO’s then he went on to another group where our article had gathered comments and changed his tune to saying the industry needs to wake up contradicting his own words and saying the music industry needs to wake up. I think we all know that shows that this person is a leaf and bends where the winds blow, So is he An Agent With Integrity?

First of all being an agency that is POEA accredited in thePhilippines does not give you the legal mandate to promote jobs for GRO’s which are as close to prostitutes as you can get. Secondly if any government agency saw that post they would be on fire to nab this person because it is a clear violation of the trust a musician for hire places in your hand thinking your job is legit and legal for a singer when in actual fact you’re looking for GRO’s. An to the best of our knowledge, POEAdoes not approve for GRO work. So what has really happened is this person, has firstly made the mistake of posting such and add, then arguing to defend his post when he should have promptly apologies and removed his post.

Now even though deleted, it is archived on Facebook and at the request of the Philippines government can be produced. But that is his worry not ours. We clearly state for the record, that we do get request from Japan for so called singers who can also sit with guest but never have we sent any Filipina to work at these jobs because for us the question of civil responsibility and morality does arise as we don’t want to be part of earning money from such acts as GRO work. Also for public record the salaries offered in the inquires we received were at the lowest ofUSD 900 per month excluding tips, drink bonuses and bottle commissions. But so sorry we are in the MUSIC BUSINESS NOT GRO business.

For us at Talents For Asia, the GRO world is as good as sellingprostitutes and is as good as being a part of Human Trafficking and is something we harshly DO NOT SUPPORT and never will. So if we are extremely harsh in our critics of such acts, then you now know why. For us it’s not about the money, being poor is not something that we are concerned about because it is better to be clean  an poor then dirty and rich. The collective at Talents For Asia have taken the stand that we have made mistakes when we started, we do apologies for them and we are on a path to better our self’s. We see the world through the eyes of the musicians and we feel their pain. We have said it many times in so many articles even as we are far from perfect and we try our best to secure the best deal possible for the bands for hire we promote, And where we need to we reduce our commissions even by half so the band can have that little extra, we do and That is what Talents For Asia is about. We are about trying to secure the best deal possible for everyone concerned with all legalities met and we will continue to shout, scream and kick about the abuses and people who abuse the music industry players via our articles.

Life is to short to profit from pain and if you think sellingGRO’S is ok then you need to get your freaking head checked. You are not only causing the young lady emotional suffering but you are a part of stripping away her dignity, morality and you are to be condemned to hell if needs be for such grievous crimes against a fellow brethren of human society. Talents For Asia has a  lot of respect for the Filipino Musicians for hire and Filipino bands for hire as they are truly gifted with talent, but it is sad for us to watch the talents being abused by their own people to profit selfishly andnot to help grow that talents internationally and help themusicians for hire or bands for hire attain global integrity as world class performers. We hope that all of you wake up and become Agents With Integrity and grow with the industry to make it cleaner, and more profitable for everyone and not just your self’s. Why can’t we share what we have and live in peace? It is not hard to do. Luxury and status is not as important as dying with a clean soul knowing that you can tell your maker you did everything in your power to help your brothers and sisters when you lived amongst them.
